DPAC Victim-Survivor consultations on Tell Someone Campaign resources - NOW CLOSED

Are you an adult victim-survivor of child sexual abuse living in Tasmania?

Would you like to provide input into a campaign to improve responses to disclosures by children and young people?

The Tasmanian Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPAC) has engaged Showpony (www.showpony.com.au) to create a public advertising campaign to raise awareness of child sexual abuse. The campaign will provide clear information on how to recognise signs of abuse and report concerns, helping to protect children and young people. It aims to foster a community where people feel confident and supported to speak up if they witness or suspect abuse. Tess Moodie Consultancy will be facilitating consultations for victim-survivors to provide input on the development of a public campaign to improve responses to children and young people when they disclose they are experiencing child sexual abuse.

Participants will be required to attend two online focus group sessions on 2nd and 9th April, 2025 at 10:00 am.

Expressions of interest close Wednesday 26th March, 2025.

Victim-Survivor consultations on a new health worker initial response to disclosures of domestic violence resource - NOW CLOSED

Are you a victim survivor of family or domestic violence (in any state or territory in Australia) who has been asked questions about domestic and family violence when accessing a health service?

The University of Sydney is working with the NSW Ministry of Health Prevention of Violence Abuse and Neglect team to develop a new resource to support health workers to respond to disclosures of domestic violence in ways that are trauma informed and support safety. The resource will form part of the Domestic Violence Routine Screening program across New South Wales health services. As part of the resource development, a consultation is being held with victim-survivors. The consultation will explore what good responses look like and gather feedback on women’s experiences of being screened. If you have been asked questions about domestic violence when you have accessed a healthcare service, please read the information sheet and questions to ask your self before applying.
